Eligible trainees may qualify for government incentive payments after entering GP training. These programs operate independently of GP Institute. GP Institute cannot guarantee:

Workforce Incentive Program – Doctor Stream

What is the RACGP National Entry Assessment? It is an online situational judgement assessment used in the RACGP entry process for eligible AGPT and FSP applicants. Acuity Insights delivers the assessment and refers to it as the Casper Test.
Is it a clinical knowledge exam? No. RACGP states that the assessment does not test clinical knowledge, although some scenarios may take place in clinical settings.
How many scenarios are there? The current assessment contains 11 scenarios and 22 open-ended questions.
How many video scenarios are there? There are four video-response scenarios. Each contains two questions. Candidates currently have one minute to record each answer.
How many typed scenarios are there? There are seven typed-response scenarios. Each contains two questions. Candidates currently have 3.5 minutes to answer both questions.
Can I sit the test twice in the same year? No. Current RACGP rules allow candidates to sit the National Entry Assessment once per calendar year.
Does the assessment apply to both AGPT and FSP? Yes. A result may apply to eligible RACGP AGPT and FSP applications made within the same calendar year, subject to current RACGP rules.
Is this test used by ACRRM/ RVTS? No. ACRRM and RVTS currently use a separate selection process. Applicants who progress to its interview stage complete SJTs/ MMIs rather than the RACGP National Entry Assessment.
Does GP Institute use real assessment questions? No, GP Institute practice scenarios are independently developed by experts and professionals to simulate the real exam only.
Does GP Institute guarantee selection? No. GP Institute provides educational preparation only. RACGP makes selection decisions.
